About Donmar Foods
Founded in 1972 by Donald and Margaret Brown in Willowdale, Ontario, Donmar Foods has been a leading provider of high-quality ingredients for the foodservice industry for over 50 years. Donmar Foods is particularly well known for its soup bases, spices, seasoning blends, drink mixes and desserts. Fun fact: the company’s name comes from combining “Don” from Donald and “Mar” from Margaret.
In 1982, Anthony Menna, an Italian immigrant with a wealth of experience in the food industry, started at Donmar Foods as the Plant Foreman. Ten years later, in 1992, Anthony purchased Donmar Foods from Donald and Margaret. Anthony continued to operate and grow the company with his daughters Jennifer and Tania until 2023, when he transferred the company to them. With Jennifer as President and Tania as Operations Manager, today Donmar Foods continues to innovate and develop new products, alongside manufacturing a wide range of ingredients designed to meet the unique needs of commercial and institutional kitchens.
